License to Sing

On Thursday the girls were watching our Worship Director/Associate Pastor practicing the keyboard for Sunday. The girls were in the balcony singing along. He noticed them and asked them to come down and practice with him, then he got the idea of having the girls open Agnus Dei on Sunday. I thought he was crazy, but agreed. They practiced off and on, Saturday night Elijah wanted out but I told her she made a commitment and they were all ready for Sunday.

The first service they went up there and Elijah sung and coxed Ebeni too but she didn't sing much at all. When they were finished we went home and got the boys... Had Sunday school then it was time for second service. The girls sat in the front pew. We were sitting half way back, I go to sit down and I see Elijah walking to the front with two pieces of cake... mom made an interception and got disappointed faces... That would be a hoot... two adorable little girls covered in frosting singing to the Lord! ha! NO! They got up when it was their turn and they were WONDERFUL! I had tears in my eyes! haha! They both sang loud and just adorable!

Elijah has a big head now... and they both sing all the time.. I have had to tell them no singing in the library and the grocery store! ha! Elijah wants to do it again, which is amazing because she is a chicken! She has now written 2 songs. What a little encouragement will do!
